Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The six questions—gender, date of birth, coverage amount, term length, tobacco use, and general health—are all the quote tool requires. You don't have to provide your name, address, or phone number just to see rates. Those details are only needed if you decide to proceed with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
Each carrier provides rates based on the health class you selected in the quote. After you apply, the carrier's underwriting may confirm, improve, or adjust your class—and your final premium with it. These quotes are for information and comparison; they are not a price guarantee or an insurance offer.
What happens when I click Apply?
First you enter your name, then the application is built from the exact quote you picked. You move into a secure application on the carriers' platform, where you answer the underwriting questions and sign electronically. You can log out and return later to resume. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), handles all applications.
Will I need a medical exam?
The answer depends on the carrier, the coverage amount you're seeking, and what you told us about your health. Carriers with Immediate coverage can issue decisions quickly for qualified applicants. The quote results will tell you whether each carrier typically requires, possibly requires, or skips the exam for your situation.
Is a longer term better?
It depends on what you're protecting. A term covers specific years: the years of a mortgage, or a child's education, or a business loan. Choose the years during which someone would be hit hardest by losing your income. Longer terms lock in your rate for more years but cost more per month. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years in one go.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool doesn't retain contact information, we don't trade or share personal data with anyone, and we don't use cookies for tracking. Read the privacy policy to see exactly what gets collected and who sees it.
